Story
We’re excited to invite you to a special event where we’ll come together as a team to support our community partner, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), who provide remote First Nations Communities with literacy resources to shape children's literacy futures. This is a fantastic opportunity to not only bond with your colleagues, but also to make a meaningful impact.
During this event we will hear from the ILF's Head of Fundraising, David Stewart, who will talk about their important work in remote parts of Australia and then we'll gather for lunch.
Please consider making a donation to our ILF community partner. You can donate as little as $5, either via credit card or through your pre-tax pay (click 'Donate from your Pay' and enter 'Australia Post'). Through our Workplace Giving program, Australia Post will match all donations to help us make a real impact with this event!
Indigenous Literacy Foundation
Being able to read opens so many doors. But in very remote Indigenous communities, books are all too scarce and literacy levels are much lower than anywhere else in Australia. Our purpose is to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous families by not only gifting thousands of new culturally appropriate books - with a focus on early literacy and first language - but also by running programs to inspire the communities to tell and publish their own stories.
