Story
Did you know that Child abuse and neglect is one of Australia’s biggest and most misunderstood social problems. In 2023- 2024, there were more than 530,000 reports made to child protection authorities in Australia. There were 42,100 confirmed cases of child abuse and neglect throughout Australia.
Across Australia, children are suffering physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect, often by someone they know and should be able to trust; most often in their own home. Thousands more cases go unreported, and the number of children and young people in out-of-home care is increasing
We are donning our pj’s and making a difference by fundraising for Act for Kids. Act for Kids are a not for profit organisation that delivers evidence-based professional therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of harm..
Child protection and wellbeing is everyone’s business and we at Ranges recognise the important role this organisation plays in our community as well as the privileged position we have of caring for and nurturing children everyday.
We would appreciate any contribution, big or small.

Act for Kids
Act for Kids is a for-purpose organisation that delivers evidence-led professional therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced or are at risk of harm. Our dedicated team of psychologists, speech therapists, early education specialists, counsellors, occupational therapists and family support workers have helped hundreds of thousands of children and families since 1988. Act for Kids operates over 30 centres across Australia and has a team of over 450 staff from Adelaide all the way up to the Cape York Peninsula. Our services have expanded to include integrated therapy, support for vulnerable families, special workshops to empower kids and safe houses in remote Aboriginal communities.
